HOTEL CLOSED - Rebuild in Progress
This Update: 14 December 2012

With Christmas fast approaching, progress continues here at the Latimer Hotel with the restaurant, bar and conference centre taking shape. Panels are being erected for the accommodation block. Pictures below show the progress made in the last months.

All Foundation work is now complete. Approximately 4000m3 of concrete has gone into the piling, floor slabs and caps, have a look at the steel involved in the foundations in the photos below. With 200 precast panels already poured and waiting offsite ready to be installed, the accommodation blocks are going to take shape in the coming months and we are looking at the structure being closed in by mid 2013.

In regards to a timeline for the completion of the hotel, we are looking at the fourth quarter of 2013. Reservations will not be taken until a firm opening date and operator is determined. Recently The Press ran an article that mentioned that the Knight Family is exploring the option of selling The Latimer Hotel, there has been strong interest from several parties
